i was planning to do a lip test first before plunking down cash on the counter but it was so new that they didn’t have testers yet. so i went ahead and took a risk and as soon as i got home i crossed my fingers and hoped to God that it works on my skintone.
it’s so damn amazing! not only does the color look gorgeous on me, it feels pretty good too. despite the gloss formula it sticks onto the lips quite nicely. i’m currently doing a wear test right now but i have good feeling about the lasting power.
Jalousie is permanent right? right? coz am thisclose to buying a back-up right now! but i really shouldn’t, not yet… so i have time right?!
Chanel Le Vernis in Dragon
i was once adamant that it is ridiculous to buy a red nail polish from Chanel. why? 1) it’s RED and i’ve always felt that reds are a dime a dozen and 2) i’m not a red person. but look how times have changed, i LOVE Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon so now it’s not quite a surprise that am thinking of picking up the nail polish as well.

ever since Blair Waldorf’s wedding in Gossip Girl i’ve been hunting down a nice fuschia lip color. preferably exactly what she was using in the episode. Jalousie might just be it.
Guerlain Rouge G in Garconne
according to Temptalia, Garconne is quite close to Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon, which is THE best red ever. but Garconne is twice as expensive as RAL Dragon so i haven’t picked up one yet. but i will eventually, since Dragon has stupidly been discontinued. (why Chanel, why??!)
i can’t believe this is a discontinued shade! it really is one of the best reds i’ve ever tried, quite possibly the best. i used to think Dubonnet is my holy-grail-red, but after Dragon - i’m not so sure anymore. and to think we almost never met. this baby came into my hands through sheer luck. thank you!

wow, apparently it’s been 8 months since i promised to buy more make-up shit. obviously i got too focused on nails. also, i’m super low maintainance when it comes to fixing myself up. so how different can my coffee/movie/dinner-make-up get from my daily stuff?

since i don’t have a lot of skill when it comes to eye make-up (aside from knowing how to make my eyes pop) i figured focusing on the lips is the easiest way to do dress-up my face for casual nights out. it’s high time to go for bold lip color. so my brother picked-up MAC Viva Glam I for me - my first red lipstick EVER. it’s just the right red to give my face a dash of color.

oh, i also bought NARS Dolce Vita months ago. just like i planned. but instead of appropriating it for gimiks, it’s become part of my daily make-up set. i’ve been using it often and i am so glad that on the first try, i found my your-lips-but-better lipstick!
following through with my plan to amp-up my beauty arsenal, i finally bought a Shu Uemura lash curler. i heard that the Fanny Serrano lash curler is a good cheap dupe but ultimately i had to go with the one with a cult following - because that’s the whole point of leveling-up. i did get an FS curler as well, but for my sister. there’s no way i’m giving her free rein on my Shu.
