DAIR is legitimately happening!
we knew that it was coming — for the first time, Blair was actually picking someone else over Chuck. we’ve been on a DAIR high for days. still, i didn’t feel any less excited while watching Dan and Blair.
so lemme talk about some stuff that went down.
ya know why it was so easy for Blair to forgive Dan for the video? because he deserves to be forgiven easily. he’s proven to Blair time and time again that he puts her best interests first. so it wont take much for Blair to believe Dan when he said he meant well. unlike Chuck, whose history shows that whatever he does somehow always goes back to self-interest.
as for Dan admitting that he wanted to keep Chuck and Blair apart… well, subconsciously i guess. because yes, he could have turned away Blair and directed her to Chuck or Serena but he didn’t. he was happy to have her lean on him. and i guess that could be taken as him coming in between. do i care? hell no. i say, way to go Dan! besides, it’s not like it harmed Blair or anything. also, Blair herself couldve gone to Chuck or Serena if she wanted to.
and THAT KISS! lets watch it again… and again. and again.
just look at Blair! i can’t remember the last time i’ve seen her look so joyful. ack! 4 weeks til we see what happens next!!
oh… i just realized we’ve been talking about Blair mostly but guys! we should also note that someone finally followed through with picking Dan! yay for him too! see, Serena’s always said she picked Dan but when did she ever really follow through with it? there’s always someone or something that would suddenly become her priority. but Blair stood up for Dan and chose him!
